Achieving a qualitative leap in China's industrial supply capacity

Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China’s crude steel production capacity increased from 648 million tons in 1957 to 57.045 million tons in 2007, an increase of 87 times; cement production capacity increased from 7.81 million tons in 1957 to 1.834 billion tons in 2007, an increase of 234 Times; fertilizer production capacity increased from 200,000 tons in 1957 to 82.3 million tons in 2007, an increase of 411 times; chemical fiber increased from 0.03 million tons in 1957 to 30.42 million tons in 2007; washing machine made 607,000 from 1980 Taiwan increased to 51.19 million units in 2007. The increase in industrial supply capacity has fundamentally changed the shortage of industrial products that has long plagued China’s economic life. The supply of the market has been depressing and scarce, and it has been prosperous and abundant.
